Copyright Policy

Effective October 6, 2026.

1. Our approach

We respect copyright and expect our users to do the same. People post reviews, messages, profile text, and links to images on HireHelpers. If you believe something there copies your work without permission, tell us and we will act under the process below. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.

2. How to send a notice

Email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice". Include:

  • your name, address, phone number, and email address, and your electronic or physical signature;
  • a description of the copyrighted work you say was copied;
  • where the material is on HireHelpers (the web address of the page), with enough detail for us to find it;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

Do not send a notice unless you believe in good faith that the use is infringing. A person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

3. What we do

When we receive a complete notice, we promptly remove the material or disable access to it and tell the person who posted it. For an image linked from a profile, we disable the link on our pages; we do not host the image file at the other address. We may share the notice with the person who posted the material.

4. Counter-notice

If you posted the material and believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:

  • your name, address, phone number, and signature;
  • a description of the material and where it appeared before it was removed;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any court where we can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We send the counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless that person tells us that they have filed a court action, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice. A person who knowingly misrepresents that material was removed by mistake can also be liable for damages.

5. Repeat infringers

We will end the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances. We count a notice that led to removal and was not successfully countered.

6. Other intellectual property concerns

If you have a concern about a trademark or other right, email [email protected] and describe what is on the page and why it is a problem. We review each report.
